Engraved dice samples --- AWESEOME

Fellow Mercenaries,
the samples of the engraved dice have finally arrived and we are very delighted that they are real beauties!!!
Remember that anyone who filled out his survey so far and chose the MONSTER edition gets these engraved dice by default, both for the core game and (if you have selected it) the expansion. No need to do anything. They are exclusive to the MONSTER pledge and not available in retail. We just love how you made them possible with that final stretch goal of the campaign.
We also promised you the option to downgrade your MONSTER pledge to standard pip dice, if so you wish (we wouldn't understand why, but the choice is yours). To do so, just go back into your survey, run through the questions again and where it asks you to choose the language it will also give you a choice of ENGRAVED vs STANDARD dice.
But again, we expect 99,5% of you to just sit back and ENJOY these cubes of strength, magic and persuasion.

We need your help!
MONSTER LANDS has been nominated in the "Euro game" category for the
"20 most anticipated board games in 2018"
Now you may ask "why only in the Euro category, why not in the Overall category, in the Original/Innovative category, in the Kickstarter category, in the Thematic category or in the Fantasy category?"
Well, we fear that is mainly our fault, because we didn't push for your help to get the game nominated, while other publishers asked their followers to become active on BGG and vote their games. The nomination was proposed by one of you backers (thank you, Adam Prentis) and it is thanks to him and all of the 168 who thumbed the game in the nomination process that we got this far at all.
All the more important that we use this "only chance" to make Monster Lands stand out now! You know us for crazy (seeming) objectives, so here comes the challenge: Let's get Monster Lands to the very top of the list in its category!
And since BGG not only allows campaigning but even encourages it (see below), we have invented an additional KS exclusive Stretch Goal for you!!!
If you help us climb the ladder to the top, we will give you a new optional game element, the "Provost's Loan". This loan token (1 per player) allows you to take a credit of 3 gold coins at the time of need (e.g. when you can't pay a Mercenary's wages) . You can later return the loan by paying 5 gold coins, but if you don´t, you lose 2 Victory Points at the end of the game.
The top of the list might seem unrealistic, given that we are currently "only" at 130 votes and trailing far behind other games. But we haven't activated you backers yet and you have proven before that you are a fantastic crowd.
You can do it! You only need to vote. But you'd have to do it right now, if you put this back for later, you will surely forget.

Campaigning for your favorites
Go for it. If you're a publisher, designer, or designer's mom don't hesitate to campaign for your favorites. Bribing voters is fine too. Pretty much anything goes as long as kittens, puppies and small children aren't injured. We have to draw the line somewhere.

Curious to know how the vote of Affinity names is going, now that more than 2.000 of you have responded? Have a look at the interim results below. The Forge is hot in the running for the 5th player expansion Affinity, Siege is the likely name for the Affinity with B-Sieged heroes/monsters, and Necromancers seems to be confirmed by you as best choice for the purple Affinity.

Fellow Mercenaries,
after successfully running the Smoke Test (thank you to those who have given input!) we have just pushed the release button for the invitations to the rest of the backers. This means you should receive your survey invitation shortly.
We also give you this non-personalized link to the late pledge site, which allows non-backers to make a late pledge until January 30th (at a little surcharge, you campaign backers continue to be the most privileged).
